We all know the drill - we bookmark our sites and articles on social sites like digg, reddit, delicious and so forth...

I always wonder whether Google "tracks" and knows whether those various bookmarks are from the same person and therefore values them less.

Same with blog commenting of course.

I doubt it, it would involve too much work even for Google, but if your site was to come under scrutiny, then those footprints would be very easy to track down and devalue.

Google's business is not search. Google's business is information and data warehousing. Data warehousing is an incredibly powerful means of gathering and storing information. Google knows more about you than your family does.

      Analytics
      AdSense
      Gmail
      YouTube
      Android
      Chrome
      Toolbar
      Captcha
      And more..

All those services above gather and retain data. To say that Google does not cross reference and perform usage and behavioral analysis is to have ones head in the sand.

      G is big brother.

I'm a spy but on your side you see
    Slip on, into any disguise
    I'll still know you
