New content, necessary to imporve SEO?

My question is the following:

I have created over 40 pages with fresh new content and uploaded them regurarly within some time, so i was wondering, is necesary to improve SEO, to post new content all days or once a week, regularly? is not , what is left for SEO?... building more backlinks forever plus social bookmarking and rss submission....?

    Once your site gets a decent number of backlinks either from you "SEOing" or others legitamately linking to you won't have to add content very often. Certainly not as often as weekly. Read some of Grizz Brears stuff on SEO.

    What i would probably do is publish the content daily to spread it all out so in the search engine eyes it looks like your website is being active. To the search engines it should be a natural progress rather than a website popup of nowhere with a whole lot of content and then hasn't been updated for a while

    Hello,

    First thing you have to be noticed that your content should be copyscape protected. Yes back links definetly help to better seo. but you have to do ON page seo like: Title tag optimization, meta tag optimization, anchor text optimization, image optimization etc will definetly help to improve your ranking

    The need for new content is to keep your site fresh and offer new content for the search engines to index.

    You should always keep adding stuff to a website although there is no hard and fast rule for the frequency of this.

      You should continually add fresh content at least every once in a while because there are a lot of benefits to that. But it is not actually "necessary" to improve your rankings. Once you have a good base of content then backlinks will get you the rankings you desire whether you add more content or not.

    You need to add new content to your site to be crawled by google. Meanwhile you must create backlinks with anchor text equal to your keywords.
