Social Bookmarking

I keep hearing the phrase "social bookmarking". I'm still not sure how this works I've searched it on google but it's just not clicking, could someone explain this? How to do it? I gather it's a way to get indexed faster? could be wrong. Any information is helpful.

    You are right. Social bookmarking is the way to quicker index from Google or other search engines, However there are few social bookmarking sites which offer dofollow backlinks too, but there are only very few.

    You can use social bookmarking for backlinks or for traffic. However, the social bookmarking world is so saturated with spam these days it is hard to find a quality dofollow social bookmarking site. So you can either stick with a nofollow, heavy trafficked site for natural traffic, or a dofollow bookmarking site with lots of spam... little to no traffic, but a boost in backlink. Its up to you. I use them for backlinks only as my good traffic comes from google.

    If you can find the DoFollow social bookmarking sites, then you can also add some DoFollow backlinks for your sites.

    Socail bookmarking is a way to get some links and to get traffic. It's also, as stated above, a good way to get indexed. All you need to do is go to a bookmarking site (Digg, Mixx, Jumptags, StumbleUpon, and hundreds of others) join the community and then submite your content there. It's that easy.

    You can not always submit every piece of content because they all have their own rules that you need to follow. Sites like EzineArticles can't be put into every bookmarking site but that is just the way it goes.

    So join some and use them. They are great for getting yoru site out there plus you can get some good traffic if used right.
