Hi everyone I have a quick SEO question.

If I am building my link wheel with all the web.20 properties out there and create all the accounts myself. Can Google track it all back to me and impose penalties or not?

I am just wondering if it's better to create these properties with Unique IP's and if so, how do I change my Ip regularly?

Cheers for the help

Your personal IP that you're using when creating the accounts won't be visible to Google or any search engine (it's stored in a DB on the website). You have to be careful if you're building multiple accounts on the same property (ex. 15 Xanga accounts) using the same IP because Xanga might see that as suspicious and then remove your account.

Thanks Jeff, I am glad to hear that Google can't track my IP down through the Web2.0 sites.

Make sure you cycle usernames and integrate random websites into your bookmarking to minimize the footprint.

I know of many people doing link wheels...but hear me out on this. Most Social Sites are nofollow. A lot of people don't factor that when they are doing linkwheels. This is the most crucial part. You might be really going round the wheel without getting any high PR links at the end.
