Why Is Adsense

Only displaying hostgator ads on all of my blogs? I recently just put adsense on 3 blog; 1 travel blog; 1 affiliate marketing blog; and 1 dentistry blog and every adsense ad on those blogs is for Hostgator? WTH?

Each blog has about 8-12 keyword articles on it; no other content.

Can someone tell me what to do to get these adsense ads more content specific?

  • I've been thinking about this...

I initially thought there may be some budgeting issues (certain advertisers reach their cap, and their ads are no longer shown)....

but, I'm not sure WHY every ad would show up as being hostgator, especially considering the subject matter of your blogs....
  • Probably something to do with the doubledart cookie and the interest based advertising that Adsense uses now. Effectively Google will place ads on your site based on the other sites you have been browsing. Have you been looking at hostgator recently? • It's the content that matters. However, you should probably spend more time and effort to find out how to get more traffic to your website/blog.
  • Is this wordpress? If so, append /?=1 to the end of your URL and see what ads display. If they are relevant, just be patient and they will start to display normally after a few days.

This is a known issue with Wordpress blogs. I run into it once in a while myself.

    • They know by the sites that you visit that you are a website developer, and thus the hostgator ads. I get similar no mater where I go. I dislike it personally, seeing the same ad all the time.
