hi

im looking for timesaving ways to build traffic to my IM product web site, i found this old warrior forum post

The Warrior Forum - 50 Tips On Getting More Traffic To Your Website

which was quite interesting but basically id like to know your thoughts on:

1. which is the simplest method
2. quantity
3. frequency ( how often do these need to be posted)
4. how will i know when to stop

im not afraid of hardwork, i just dont need to be confused with lots of methods, id rather stick to one. eg: articles.

Im also aware of clickbank and building a list, which are good ways, but i thought id try seo-ing it myself first. is that the wrong approach? or should i just stick it in clickbank and then focus on building a list with newsletter bombardment?

also as the subject of this topic is 'seo' can someone tell me the difference between paying someone x amount to get it on the 1st page of google, and me creating lots of articles/videos free traffic etc to promote it?
#seo #simple

The most important thing that you can do is to pick a strategy that you will spend 80% of your time working on. Use the other 20% to experiment with other strategies that you have learned about. The biggest mistake people make is jumping around too much and not focusing in on one thing.

Even though it was written over 3 years ago I would say most of those 50 are still relevant today. Article marketing is great because it gives you backlinks for the search engines, direct traffic from readers, and builds a name for yourself. You're hitting 3 birds with one stone. Of course, you shouldn't only use article marketing but if you only want one then that would be my top pick.

    Some confusion going on here

    - You shouldn't stick to one backlink method: the whole idea of "natural" SEO is to gain different links from different sources.

    - Build a list X SEO? You need to choose!! BUT if it is a IM product, i'll advice list building+ autoresponder and a strong presence where your buyers hang around.

    - NO ONE can promise you SEO to Google's page #1. Unless they use Adwords. Just hard work to get there. But if you're going to sell a IM product I'd personally use the "show up where my buyers hang around..." approach.

All the best and choose wisely.

      I'll say this:

the best way to guarantee you get rankings, traffic, etc. is to have a plan.

This starts with keywords. Then content. Then linking.

Keywords: choose wisely. This will determine your overall ROI for money and time.

Content: Videos, articles, images, comments, audio recordings... the more you have revolving around your keywords, the easier it will be to get traffic.

Linking: Really, if you have content and keywords covered, linking shouldn't be too difficult.

I see it all the time. Client "A" comes in with their **** together and a few links punches their site straight to the top of the SERPs for their keywords.

Client "B" shows up with keywords like "Dating", and a site with 1-2 stock images and a couple of paragrahphs. You can guess how successful these campaigns would be if we just left them alone...

So just remember: don't pay anyone ANYTHING until you know EXACTLY what you want to accomplish.

      and Good luck!

Article submission is great if it's not really submitted to an ezine article directory. Try sourcing for sites that have great PR and great PR for it's subpages. Chances is that you will get more value doing that rather than traditionally just submitting articles to ezine articles or Go Articles.

  • If you are not afraid of hard working then you should start building links for youe website with different anchor text.

Build links from forums, blogs, and many other ways that you know .

Spend as much time as you can in a day in building links and you can get good traffic after certain time period..
