Ok, so here's my article

Can't post link...oh well, doesn't really matter. I think it's a pretty good article in a fairly small but profitable niche. I have my affiliate link on there aswell.

And I have no idea on how to begin with getting it high rank onto google. I have a keyword density of 1% (keyword mentioned around 15 times). The keyword I'm using is 18,000 results and like 3600 searches/month. You can probably guess what it is, but I could really use some help here!

Thanks

    John,
    1. look up google's keyword tool. (free): https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

    2. Find a specific search term you want to use to drive organic traffic. Let's say "Pet Care" for example and enter it into googles keyword search tool. Select those that indicate popular searches.

    3. Narrow the the subject to the most specific terms possible terms that relate to your article: i.e. "Grooming your Saint Bernard" and enter it into Google's keyword tool. Then test the competition by going to Google and typing the exact pharse "Grooming your Saint Bernard" and see how many websites compete for that phrase. Do this until you have one that doesnt have more than a hundred thousand competing web sites, the less the better, aim for tens of thousands or less but definitely more than a thousand.

    3. When you find a good phrase, work it right into the title; "Grooming Your Saint B.". Try and include any associated phrases you found in the kewyword research tool but make sure it doesnt read like you're doing this. You want to make sure the article is quality and that means it sounds good and natural and not hackneyed.

4.Then follow the advice above and submit them to the major article directories as described; good advice there.

The best advice I can give is to get familiar with the Search function of this forum. Start looking up threads related to article marketing and get a fresh pot of coffee going. You'll be glad you did.

Quite a few marketers on EZA will use free web pages like Squidoo, Weebly etc to make a landing page of some kind, and then send traffic from there to a sales page. Also, the traffic from EZA itself can be very good - if you get a high number of views and become listed in the most-viewed section for instance. There's not really any need to buy a domain, but they can be very useful, either for redirecting people to another site, or for building up your own site in the long term.

      best wishes,

      Jon.

Would a site be reccommended? Btw my niche is a small area of the health field

    Or maybe a blog...?

OK, here's what you want to do. Perform some quick on-page SEO to improve keyword density to 2.5 to 3%. Try to include primary keyword in the title of the page and as early as possible in the first paragraph, repeating several times throughout the body. Write, or outsource the writing of 2 to 3 articles per day with links pointing back to your website, then submit them to the top three article directories online. Repeat this for 2 weeks, and you will have a solid foundation of backlinks to your site to begin expanding upon.

It can take some practice... Start by writing the article in your own words, and forget about keywords for a minute. People can tell if you're just trying to write around a bunch of keywords! When you're done writing, use Google AdWords to find keywords, and see where you can insert them into your article.
