Slapped by Google =[

For one of my sites I did some backlink building, and for the keywords I targeted I went from about #5-10 on google to page 7 or 8!

I'm still ranked well for my other keywords, just the ones I bought links to are hurting.

Will my rankings come back? If so, how long will it take?

Also: Google changed my "indexed" page, to an older one.

  • It could take a while. Did you buy a package of links that all got posted at once. Google will notice that. It's better to buy links that will be only post a few a day. Using different accounts and ip dresses.

  • If they are paid ones then you should bother firstly about removing them as they willl be hurting you for long duration. G is very strict about these links and they will be banning websites for these very soon!

  • I would take the links off and try to get ppl backlinking naturally to your site.

  • rankings will ALWAYS come back if you are not completely deindexed, sometimes it takes longer, sometimes less.

    If you just did normal link building you might simply see "google dance", give it a few days. If you overdid it and REALLY got penalized, your site could be gone from rankings for up to 3 months...but it will come back.
