Success with Link Directories?

Dear Warriors

I have used directorybot, easysubmit etc to submit my new sites to their list of directories. I have waited 6 months and still not one directory is showing up in yahoo site explorer.

Can anybody hazard a guess at what I am doing wrong?

    Forget about it and move on. Link directories are old news and ancient. I know there are plenty here that would argue that, but I'm not going to chase peanuts.

    How many directories did you submit to? Are you sure all of your submissions went through?

    Maybe there is/was a problem with your directory submission script?

    I used a cheap Indian service I while back to submit some sites. Never saw any links show up for that either. Not that they didn't do the work. Most directories just seem to be useless now.
