hi

Lets say the keyword used iphone has 22200 exact search. used ipad have no results. I expect it to grow more up to the same as used iphone. But that is just guess work.

Is there some technique which can be used to determine how popular a keyword will be in the next couple of months?

It's pretty hard to predict something like that.

The only thing you can base it off of is how popular the similar keyword is. Now with "used ipad" it will become more and more popular because right now the ipad is new. Every new tech item ESPECIALLY the ipad has a boost in popularity. After a few months or a year it will drop down a little but not much. And once ipads are reduced in price (might not happen) the keyword will get popular again.

    Hope that helps some ^_^

It tells you past trends but not future trends.

By looking at the trends you can tell when certain keywords will peak throughout the year but you wouldn't be able to for the ipad because that "trend" hasn't happened yet....
