Adsense sniper site question

I don't know if I've asked this before, but in case I haven't (or if I have, I don't recall getting a reply) :

Let's say I've found a great keyword (ie a good number of monthly searches, a PR 0 Amazon.com page is number one for an exact search, etc)such as "red shoes" and I can make a sniper site with redshoes.com. I also find that the inner pages can be about blue shoes, green shoes, and white shoes. So, my site would be :

Redshoes.com
- Blue shoes
- green shoes
- white shoes
(note: all pages have relevant content on them)

Now my question is, would it be worth my while to set up a site:
Blueshoes.com, with the inner pages being green shoes, white shoes and red shoes, which would simply mean using the content from the original redshoes.com site ?

I'm asking this because I've found a bunch of related keywords where instead of setting up one site and three inner pages, I could easily set up 4 .com sites using the same content.

Would Google punish me by using duplicate content ?

Your advice would be much appreciated!

D

I think setting up the 3 sites is a great idea, but I would use different content on the sites. Just rewrite each piece of content so that each site is different.

Usually duplicate content typically refers to dupe pages on the same site, but I think it would be safer for you to not have 3 duplicate sites - could be your downfall if there is ever a manual review or google adds checking that sort of thing to their algorithm (if they don't already?)

Through my own testing and expiriments, I've come to the conclusion that if you are building a long term biz it is better to be safe than sorry. Sometimes the fastest way isn't always the best way.

If you simply copy/paste the content and just changing the word red to green/blue/yellow whatever, then you will get your sites deindexed when Google does a manual review on your sites.

Make sure all your sites are unique even though they are talking about the same stuff in different colors.
