Of that number only a few really matter (google, yahoo, bing, ask, aol) and when it comes down to it most would argue only one matters. Obviously the big G. So what are you gonna do with 1,099,995 other worthless listings.

Short Answer: It will not help with your SEO efforts

PS - You can submit them manually if you want, and it would take less than 5 minutes to do, but that is not really even necessary in this day and age. The spiders will find you. If you want to speed up the process ping your sites, make a few social bookmarks and away you go. Then you can start with the rest of your seo efforts.

I agree with Peter. Submission only will not do any good for site but instead optimizing it and improve its visibility to SEs specially in Google will give a great revenue for you.

if your website is so badly exposed to the web that you need to "submit" it so it can even be found...you have a bigger problem...

Search engine "submission" is utter nonsense, the search engines WILL find you anyway.

1 mil search engines ?! That most likely is a scam. Today search engine submission is just a call for some obscure spiders to eat your bandwidth and resources.

Its a scam. Submitting to search engines went out of fashion at least last century.

You don't need to submit your site to 1.000.000 SE (I don't even think they exist).
Actually you don't need to submit it to any SE. They will find you.
If you want to do it, just manually submit it to Yahoo, Bing, and Google. That should be enough.
Is it also a good idea to submit the site to some directories, specially DMOZ.

Don't try this service because most of them are useless indeed.
If your action is found by Google and other search engines, you site may get punished easily.

What a load of nonsense! If Google et al penalized for doing this, then we could easily submit our competitors to get them penalized. Ever wonder why we don't do it?
