Hi everyone, I was wondering how do you check your sites position in google fast without having to click through bunch of pages? Thanks..

well that is very simple to check the position if the sites.. u just copy the keyword and paste on Google search after that just click to crtl+f.. their will small box at left bottom of your screen u just copy your URL their and click enter from the u will the position highlighted with green color .. i hope u like that..

There are tools out there, haven't really found a good one. You can use the "find" function as mentioned above, just make sure you click on "Advanced search" next to the search bar in google and change your search results from 10 to 100 and that'll make your life easier.

  There's a peice of free software in there called "rank tracker"
  
  The title of the thread starts with "6 pieces of software..."
  
  Search for that and download the tools.
  
  Here's how rank tracker works...
  
  You input your domain name.
  
  Then you input a list of keywords...IE export adwords keyword results as text, and copy and past all the keywords.

  Tried the tool. The results are very very far from reality. In my opinion a number of these SERP checking tools are useless. The best way to find the position if to manually do that.

thanks guys that was good method petersteel but not exactly what I was looking for.. and "friend" I've found that thread and is it located in his affiliate arcenal? I couldn't find it there.. there isn't such thing as rank tracker.. thanks..

its very simple you have do no nothing just copy the keyword and put in the Google search tab then you will get easily the sites you want to check

  I agree that Rank Checker by SEO Book is the best out there. I found that I run a keyword search in the Google Adwords tool for all related keywords and put them in rank checker too. You may be surprised at what else you are ranking well in outside of your primary keyword.

You can use Rank checker or there are some SEO service that provides daily updates of your rankings. You download the rank checker in hxxp://tools.seobook.com/.

Use Search Engine Ranking Position (SERP) tool to check what search engine position you have for Google and Yahoo.

How to use this Tool?

Enter the name of your domain name/ subdomain

Choose either Google or Yahoo to check the position on

Choose First 100 Results

Enter the keyword(s) to search the SERP for.

Click on "Check!"

I used rank tracker as well. Just save searches so you could just reload it anytime to recheck your rank.

No need to search for the keyword in Google.Just Login into your Google webmaster it will show exactly about positon of your site and impression depending upon the keywords.

...I go over to my mom's computer and key in my search terms there XD She never looks up the sites I do and I never click them, so that does it for me. I used to check a lot but I do less so now, maybe once a week. If I saw a giant traffic dropoff, I'd check more to see that my site didn't get bumped down.

My honest advice would be to not use an automated tool, just check manually

Google don't want you to use programs so don't do it

if your site is so low that you need to go through pages and pages to find it then it's not worth checking in the first place, you would be better spending the time building more links

  saves time if you don't keep checking, you know where you want it and when you are on your site, look at your alexa to see if you've gotten a lower number. when you get to first page, you'll know.

Why Not Use Google to tell you this...!!!

Now google tells you this information!
Here is how to get it:

1. Login to your Google Webmasters account

2. Click on the site you want to check ranking for.

3. Then on that Page Click on link called: "MORE"
this link is just at the end of the column "Search Queries"

4. Wow, see at next pages google tells you this:

a. Your top keywords along with
b. Number of impressions
c. Number of clicks
d. AND Avg. Postion of your Site for that Keyword

That is it!

This seems unbelievable? right!
You can see the exact screenshots I have taken for my site Google
showing avg.Positions for those keywords... in this blog post:

+1 vote for Rank Checker, available from SEObook (not the product of the same name from Link Assistant). No method is 100 percent accurate, but even from the UK I find this one close enough!
