How important is title in back link article?

Hi, I belong to a link service. I write articles, and submit them to this service, and site owners looking for content will choose them to be posted to their sites with my links embedded in them. My question is that, quite often the keyword or links in the article are not what another site owner may want in a title on his site, so I change it a little.

An example is if I am doing an article about web hosting, but my site is cheap web site hosting, I will work links into the site that say cheap web site hosting, but I will make the title something like, How To Find The Best Web Hosting.

Is this hurting the value I am getting from the back links, by not having the title of the article match the links. I know this is important when the article is on my own site, but I am not sure of the importance, when it is on another person's site.

This is a link service so the website owners can't change anything with the article.

Thanks Glenn

No; changing the title of the article doesn't hurt as long as the actual links themselves have the correct keywords.

As long as the content is similar the post title doesn't really matter to a great extent. The important factor is the "anchor text" that you use to link back to your site.

Remember the anchor text will count as a "vote" for the keyword you want to rank your site for.

The keyword density throughout the article should be within a specific range, and the title should have the keywords in it as well. Search engines read the title from left to right just as people do, so the closer to the left that you can put your keywords in the title, the better. The links should also be relevant keywords.

Hope that helps. Have a great day!

There are many articles that I submit covering one niche topic with a link back to my site on a completely different niche topic for one sole purpose - to obtain a backlink.

If I had the option of getting a few backlinks but I got to choose the title of my article or lots of backlinks but I had to change the title of my article then I'd take the second option.

Using article mareketing to build backlinks is different from using article marketing to generate traffic to your site.

    Respectfully,
    Tim

Have no worries, don't forget that Google makes good use of LSI, so changing your title a bit can not hurt you at all.

No it's not a big problem, but it could affect the factor, keyword density.

Because when search engine check the webpage it will check the title and read the article for the keywords.

So it will show inteligence if you keep in mind during the preparation of the article you should check that the content will match the keyword of title and cover your principle desire or the theme of the backlinked website.

If you follow the method I think it wouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for all the responses, and I think most of you are saying the same thing, that I can vary the title a little, with no problem. I also think that Tim's last sentence makes sense, that article marketing for traffic, and article marketing for back links, is two different things.

        Thanks Glenn

Keep in mind Glenn that the single purpose of posting those articles is for the backlink only.

You do not want any article outranking your website for your chosen niche. It is for that reason that I agree with Mr Gorman. I often write articles about any subject and include a link to my money site in the resource box.

    Cheers mate
