hello i want to know what is the keyword density of an article?

at what % should be fine?
#search engine optimization #article #density #keyword
  • 4-5% will be fine
  • If your keyword density is too high Google and other search engines can penalize you. Below 10% is safe but around 5%-7% is more ideal.

    • For God's sake, don't listen to the answers above if you want actual readers!

7% density puts you at 7 times per every 100 words. Even the lower end of 4% still puts you at 4 times per 100 words. Sometimes you could get away with 4% but most of the time it's going to sound like garbage.

Stick to no more than 3% but the better way is to stick to 1-2% and use LSI and related keywords within the text. That way the search engines know what the content is about but you have a much better shot of actual humans reading it.

Keep in mind, the search engines are not the ones buying from you - the people are. Write for humans and you'll be fine.

  • I don't even worry about keyword density. If you write for humans you'll be good with keyword density and LSI nearly every time.

    • I can't agree more Dennis. The natural manner in which humans write is perfect because we naturally use certain main words(keywords) and then different words that mean the same thing or have a close meaning(LSIs)

      As far as 7%-10%.......thats insane.

      I stick to 2%-3%

      Cheers

  • Relevant content.......for humans......
    spiders do not buy anything......

    • Pardon me....
But how do you figure that?

Density an relevancy are not the same......

    • This makes no sense.....
The site needs density but the article does not?
How about ranking for the article?
And density is based on the number of words?
      Well, of course......how else?
  • As far I know, 2% to 5% density is ideal. It varies upon keywords.

  • Instead of using the same keyword phrase repeatedly, you should use different variants of the phrase. I have seen that this approach improves the page rankings to a great extent.
