Need Help with Google Adwords!

Hi there,
I am trying to run an adwords campaign. It started out fine but now my ads say: "Rarely shown due to low quality score". I think I messed up my website 's landing page. If there is anyone on this forum that can help, please contact me with estimated cost.
I really appreciate if anyone can help me out.

  • I've only come across this once a long while ago but and I'm sure somebody else will explain in far more detail but in short this generally happens happens because google thinks your adverts/keywords are not properly related to what it is that you are marketing.

    If you run your URL through the google keyword tool it will tell you what google thinks your website is about. Then you could try removing any keywords that are not closely enough related to what google thinks your site is about.

    Thats one thing to start with but also maybe take a look at your advert and how relevant that is to your keywords and landing page.

    This is googles way of saying that what you are promoting or the way you are promoting it won't give users a good experience when browsing through google

    • Thank you for the info. I have re-loaded an older backed up copy of my site index that was working before and I will wait and see if google rates the landing page as acceptable again. I have a suspicion that I messed things up by having a link to an external site on the landing page; I was trying to link to a third party site that was a kind of testimonial (bad idea ) and I think that's what caused the problem. I removed the link but it is still rated poorly so I will try the original version of the page.
  • You've got a poor landing page quality score. This means you are violating one or more of the Adwords policies. You can make your keywords and ads very relevant, change until the cows come home, but it won't change anything if you are not following guidelines.

    This could be down to the landing page, or more likely the setup for your Google AdWords account.

    Are you only using broad matched keywords? What are your average positions and individual quality scores like?

  • The first problem you have with that site is the required supporting pages are missing / most of them and you will blow daisy's up hill without these.

    next you have little to no content

    the subject matter / headline make gazillions ? is a bit iffy

    all in all the site has at it stands written slam me all over it and needs a lot of work, to bring it up to a level required.

    • Thank you for the great advice. I will start to work on implementing those ideas.
      interesting side note,: I went back to a saved version of my site and then created some new image ads with adwords. These ads scored 5/10 instead of 1/10. The only difference in the site was that I got rid of a testimonial I had added (using plain text instead of an image) that had phrases like "the best" and "awesome". Maybe that was enough to throw my site into the 1/10 category.
