Thanks for the list, but it doesn't sound very practical to hit up each one.

How do you priortise this? Are there aggregation services?

  If you are using WordPress go and paste all of them in at the bottom where it says Update Services - save changes, Now when you make a post it will ping all of those sites letting them know you have updated your blog.

is this worthy to ping your blog through all these sites or just pick one site and ping your blog.

I use MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer and it helps to set delays in between pings, so you don't over do it.

Is it a waste of time to ping blogs if all it takes is a simple copy paste and WP does it for you automatically every time? Takes about 2 minutes and if it results in even a few sites getting pinged and updating faster, wouldn't that help?

Just curious if there are downsides?

I have found that a tweet on a decent twitter account gets the job done just as fast as these pinging services. Not sure if they are even that relevant anymore.

Wow that is a great list. When you have so many ping sites, it is hard to keep up with the ones that eventually go dead. I usually just use the popular ones.

Does it help using all available pings?

I guess pinging is not at all a good idea to get the blog indexed.Let Crawlers index them faster or you can promote the blog on social media sites as well as on forums.
