Ranking multiple keywords for 1 page

Hey i normally target one keyword for each page i create, but i never tired ranking multiple related keywords (4 to be exact) for one single page. It would save me from writing content (and yes the keywords are very much related) Should i basically just do the normal on-page optimization for every keyword, like include all 4 keywords in the title, description and within the content. Then simply link backlinks to the page with different anchors.
Is there any extra tips you guys could give me?

To be on No.1 on page is not sufficient. It also depends upon the keyword you are using. For every keyword to be on top off page is necessary althu that's single or multiple keywords.

I don't recommend doing this because it can really hurt your SEO efforts...Google will pinpoint this method and give your site less weight in the SERPS for it..... I mean you can try it and see what happens but chances are you are going to lose anything you already have in the way of SEO next time the spiders crawl your site and if you are using Adwords to make money you will get mixed results and your targeted audience will probally not click on your ads as much as a single topic.

If you do take this approach let me know how it turns out...I'm always on board for experiementation in SEO.

Your site doesn't really need to have all your keywords in the title for it to rank. If there is a root keyword try ranking for that, then you will almost always rank for the long tails far easier and usually with little effort. Obviously it takes more time but it will be worth it in the long run.

First of all select the bunch of keywords you want to rank then choose the least competitive. Once you rank the least competitive keyword then you will already have an advantage in google and you can rank for other competitive keywords. I hope I have answered your question..
