site:mysite.org - Google question

Hello Warriors,

If I type my site into google using site:mywepagesite.org

I have 8 results displaying
www.mywebpagesite.org/click.php?c>'dmjdlgsbve>2'lfzxpset>'sbol>2'f>'vsm> iuuq%3B00xxx%2Fopdmjdlz%2Fdpn0'gffe>opqbz'qsjdf>'t bq>5517'zbsht>xxx%2Fopdmjdlz%2Fdpn

And if I click on one of the links it takes me to the 500 Internal Server webpage.

I can type my site into the address bar www.mywebpagesite.org and my site displays just fine, so I'm not sure if maybe I set something up wrong?

There is also another person who owns:

mywebpagesite.org.uk

so I am wondering if this error is somehow due to google confusing the two.

But really I don't know?

Does anyone know why I might be getting this 500 error message for my site?

Thanks so much !!!!!

  • No, Google is not confusing your site with .co.uk, it's not stupid?

However, that is one weird parameter-laden URL that you posted. Why do you need it? What page does it lead to? You may have canonical issues with your URLs Then if you have more backlinks to the version of the page that sits under the ugly URL, it's that version that will get indexed. And then if that version disappears without a 301 redirect (typical example: you were tracking something and then you no longer need it and you remove the URL), then clicking on that URL can cause an error.

Impossible to say more without more info.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • Thank you phillip. That site leads to my hosting's 500 internl server error page.

I never backlinked that web address. The only webpage I backlinked was:

    http://mywebpagesite.org

    I'm totally lost

    • Can you post your domain name?
  • I would prefer not to. But I think I figured out the issue (Ihope).

i had an index.html file, and my robots.txt file in my folder I created for cloaking my links.

I'm pretty sure that must have been the problem.
