When will Google see my backlinks

I have a new site that is about 6 weeks old now and within the last two weeks I've posted about 39 articles to ezinearticles.com especially with article post to other minor article board.

I believe by now that I should have something above 90 post in most article boards, however, when I check my backlink status through google link: url, I do not get any results whatsoever.

I don't really know the problem could or long it actually takes google to notice these backlinks.

Funny enough some of the articles come up through ezinearticles.com in google search for my main keyword on page 4.

Your opinion will be highly appreciated.

Google does not provide a list/number of backlinks to a site publicly. You need to enter your site into Google's Webmaster Tools and log in to see a more accurate number.

You can go to Yahoo's Site Explorer and see your backlinks listed there though.

Google has a weird way of looking at it that I just don't understand. I have a site with 15,000 backlinks and Google search counts about 7-8. Just don't bother even looking at that to be honest. If you want to look at your backlinks, check iwebtool.com, or right in the Google webmaster tools. That will give you a better idea.

Remember, this isn't new. It's how Google has shown links on their search for years. I think that's why people would always check Yahoo because it gave you a better idea of what you were actually looking at.

Yea.. Google seems to always change the links it shows as well... sometimes it shows more links than before and sometimes it shows less - it never shows all your links.

Yahoo does the best at showing your links

Yea using Yahoo Site Explorer would probably be more accurate then Google.

Just type in your URL and click Explore URL.. Hope it helps..

That's what I use myself and it's by far the best way to check your backlinks in my opinion. Also, if you're using Firefox there are several plug-ins you can use for that, just google it...

When do you want Google to see your backlinks?

If you're only talking about a few, you can just social bookmark them and Google will count them very quickly.

      Link in body = Nofollow

Link in resource box = Dofollow

      on Ezine, of course.

yahoo, altavista, allthe web, google, seo spyglass all diffrent numbers and they go up and down and up and down

yahoo recently cut everyone's links in half about a week ago and some people thought the sky was falling

i dont even look at it much. i watch the serps, my traffic, and my sales and keep on doing what im doing to improve those things

in the mean time you can bookmark the pages
submit your author rss feeds to aggrigators
createa new rss feed of the articles pages and submit it, and bookmark it
    tweet about it
send some backlinks ot the articles
post links to them on web 2.0 properties
    ping them

or a bunch other stuff to get them indexed.. or just keep building and not worry about it

That's funny that you say that. I noticed a 50% drop off in my links, but they are all back now. I thought I was just crazy

Thanks for the breakdown of your work-flow on how to get my articles noticed.

One question though is if you suggesting that I should bookmark my individual articles or to bookmark my profile page containing the list of my articles.

I'm a newbie and just want to make sure I'm doing the right things at the right time.

      Thanks.
