I was just curious...According to some of the stuff I've been studying lately,
I should be able to get on page 1 of google if I do an article or a squidoo page where the title searches are less that 5000 in the "quotations".

I targeted long tail term where the phrase has less than 2500 searches in the quotations and I've been on page two for weeks with a squid page and an ezine I wrote for it. Do I just need more patience?

Patience, and add some backlinks (gradually). Bookmark your site with the top bookmarking sites, add a signature to your profile with the keyword you are targeting, and make sure your links back to your site is also the keyword phrase you're targeting.

good luck...oh yea use your keyword phrase at bizsaze.com in the title and you have a dofollow link to your website.

"Social Bookmarking". They are sites like Delicious, Propeller, Mister Wong, Faves, etc. Some people also consider sites like Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon, Mixx, Sphinn, etc social bookmarking sites as well. Just search for a list of social bookmarking sites. This is usually a good place to start.
