Blog Commenting Question

I am having a hard time with blog commenting and finding good inner pages with decent pr. I have tried fastblogfinder and it sucks but I am trying to make the process of finding dofollow blogs with inner pages, decent PR 3+ , to comment on and I find it very time consuming. Is there a better way to go about this? Like a search query I could use or something that will help my find some blogs with high pr inner pages to comment on.

Another question. Do you think it is even worthwhile to bother with blog commenting? I do this as a way to build backlinks, not traffic but traffic is welcomed.

  • It is very time consuming finding do-follow blogs to comment on. You can try Market Samurai but I would not focus so much on blog comments. I recommend that you dont spam the blog sites but provide useful relavant information. I think you should keep it in your strategy however, its not going to drive a lot of traffic. You need write articles and submit them to article directories. Create squidoo and hubpages and take part in their communities, sign up on forums that are relavent to your niche and become a part of their community, do some keyword research and find a money keyword and see if you can move it up in the serps. And most importantly dont forget about Social Media sites such as facebook, youtube, twitter. They can drive a lot of traffic if done correctly. Hope this helps.

    • Thank you for this information. I certainly don't spam the blog sites as I actually will read the post or at least a few paragraphs (being honest) and comment from what I have read and even adding value.
  • Hi mekap04,

How's the content on your blog? And how in depth are your comments?

In the past I hit many high PR blogs and received little backlink juice. The problem was that I wasn't providing any value with my comments. They were comment Drive-By's, like these"

"Hi great post see you later on to the next backlink!"

Valuable, thoughtful comments will get some clicks but excellent content on your blog creates the repeat traffic.

Craft insightful comments and blog posts and continue to hit the big player's blogs. Also visit the blogs of each commenter who stops by the big dog's blogs. Chances are they are successful in their own right. I wouldn't be too concerned over the PR of each blog, these can be misleading. Seek to build relationships with successful bloggers and you won't lack for traffic.

    • Thank you for you input. I think I may have gotten things a little confusing maybe how I worded it. I am doing the blog commenting as means for getting backlinks. I get backlinks from different methods and that is why I want to use commenting as one of those sources to mix it up a bit. I don't care about the traffic (I mean it is good if I do get traffic but I am not using commenting as a traffic source). I do leave quality comments though even if it is for a backlink so this is not the area of my concern. It's finding blogs to comment on with a decent PR as I've been told these kind of links are good for improving rankings.
  • A little bit, but links that aren't bpl are more benficial and will be even more so going forward.
