Mondays site appear in SERP, then days later dropout

Hi
I have a site which is about 9 months old. It appear in the yahoo directory. I'm promoting it with backlinks, press releases, blog comments
For the last 2 or 3 months my site usually appear in the SERP on Mondays (page 3), then on Thursday it totally drop out of the SERP. Site not even to be found in the last page of the SERP (not in top 1000). This is happening every week.
What I don't userstand is why my site is dancing in the serp like this.
IS it jsut that google need some extra time to think out where my site should be in the SERP.
My site is currently out of the SERP as it's Thursday, but expect it to appear again on Monday.
Anyone here had a similar experience? What did you do?
