Be patient and wait for an answer... I would have told you but I think its rude that you did this

      i'm waiting . . . . . . .
Your asking for help on a public forum, people dont have to answer you. If they do it is because they are nice so respect that.

If your site stays in the SERPS, no matter how low,
that is not a ban. It's called fluctuation. It happens
on an ongoing basis with google. Some people just
cannot believe that their site does not justify
#1 constantly. I'm trying to come up with a name
      for this disease. Anyone?

I heard a lot of epople complianing about their backlinks in Google maybe they're changing something now.
Type your url in the Google search bar and if your website doesn't appear, it means Google ban it.

You are seeing what lots of people are seeing. I have a few sites that have dropped from first page, to not in the results at all. They will most likely come back if this is an small update by google. dont stress yet.

Continue getting backlinks (preferably good ones). Change the type of backlinks you are getting (good to have links from a variety of sources). Continue adding good content to your site.

The short answer is there's nothing specifically you can do to force your rankings back - you just have to sit out the current fluctuations for your site and hope that when they end, you're back to your original (or better) position.

I'm experiencing this too. I speculate that site needs PR to avoid the dancing.

Unless PageRank is very high that want stop a site 'dancing'. The OP stated he had lost a lot of position suddenly across many pages. That's not typical 'dance' behaviour.

If his/her site contains a lot of 'spun' or otherwise nonsense content, s/he had probably been flagged for human inspection. Spun content will be immediately obvious to a human inspector, and down the rankings the site will go.

The jump back and forth the OP saw when this first happened is more likely a switch between different Google servers, sometimes seeing a server that hadn't yet been updated.

I would also how many pages are indexed by Google. I can see 23400 at the moment using the site command. There is a lot of difference between 2340 23400 and 234000 etc.

It has happened before to a music lyrics and a mp3 directory site.

Traffic went from 7000 uniques to 250 within a day and never recovered.

The number of pages indexed remained the same.

It seems that some sort of penalty had been imposed on the whole domain.

The sites involved were around 6 months old.

It seems this is quite a common occurence with large sites with lots of duplicate content.

That was a few years ago. Nowadays, it is more usual to see a mass de-indexing of pages or a complete ban for similar sites.

Honestly, I don't know. It could just be a glitch with Google.

This had not happened with me for a few years. I tend to get a gradual drop rather than a sudden drop.

I have several sites in the top 10 and most of them do the "Google dance" on a consistent basis. I have sites that are in the top 10 one day, then a week later they are near the very last page for the given key phrase! However, a few days later, they come back to the top 10.

Now, just yesterday many of my sites have completely vanished into oblivion all on the same day. They are still in the index when I do a "site:" search, but that isn't very comforting.

One site of mine has been at number 2 for over a year and a half for its main keyword and today it is at number 10!

SOMETHING unique is going on over there at Google Inc and I am starting to feel a bit of a sweat coming on.

Fluctuations do happen a lot - especially to newer sites. But then I've only seen it myself during a site's infancy (the first two weeks).

If it's an older site they're probably just mucking about with algorithms. They do a lot of split testing that you might not realise - both on the Google site itself and in the SERPs.

Google did a major algorithmic change back in May. That is not going to be "rolled back" as Matt Cutts put it.

I've been hearing about a lot of good quality long-standing sites getting the shaft because of it.

Sites go up and down in Google thats what its supposed to do !

Your site might have lost rank for many reasons, no doubt we will get the usual backlinks stuff blah de blah.

But its a good idea to check over your site, make sure the codes not been altered or changed or your security is compromised.

Other than that, if your still indexed and showing as first result when you put ur site name in google, you aint banned.

Your sites hardly quality content, with those 4 footers with all the same content not really any suprise its dropped to me !

I reckon putting some work into ur site might help !

No that would be a v bad idea !

you need to resolve the issues with your current site, of which im sure u will say its fine *sighs*

If you want me to be honest, ur sites complete pants !

It hardly has any content, and the content it does have its replicated 4 times in ur footer, replicating that text 4 times, is a terrible idea.

your not banned, you have just experiance what happens to every webmaster at some point in their career, and had ur site plummet down the search engines because of ur poor content.

Many webmasters assume they have been banned, and simply refuse to face this fact that its in any way a problem with their website and prefer to just say Googles broken

The sooner u face this fact the quicker u will be able to resolve ur issues and get ur site back on track.
