Looks like we just had a Google backlinks update

Backing shown in Google have changed for all of my sites. I wonder if a pagerank update will follow.

    Thanks for the heads up, just checked and, yes, mine are updated as well. I have heard a PR update is coming soon, looking forward to a generous harvest

    I don't understand what all the fervor is for PR on your site. What does it matter if your site is a PR0 or a PR9? Unless you are listed on the first page of the SERPs, what does it matter?

    I would take a first place listing in the SERPs over a PR9 any day. The traffic is in that first place listing, not in having a higher PR.

    What am I missing?

      There IS one time I'd rather then PR. When it is a blog using content from ArticleRanks. You get credits for each article submitted to your blog depending on it's page rank. So if you were taking in enough articles on a high enough PR blog you could essentially get the service for free...
