Adwords Campaign Problems?

Hey there,

So this has never happened to me before, but Google's help forum is a joke - and I CANT get ANY answers from them!

Hopefully I'll get a much more helpful response here from a warrior!

Right now, I'm receiving no impressions or clicks on my CONTENT NETWORK only campaign.

My campaign was halted immediately with the status "limited by budget" without me coming close to reaching the budget. After a day or two, that status was lifted, and my campaign turned "eligible". Unfortunately, I'm still not receiving any impressions.

This campaign was running fine for 2-3 months, and getting plenty of impressions. Its been 5 DAYS and I NEED this campaign working for me! A friend told me my account was either being 'reviewed' or 'slapped'. How do I know which it is?

I've tried increasing my min CPC and daily budget - NOTHING WORKS!

Has this happened to you?

You have to look at where you are driving the traffic to google hate direct linking to sales pages or pushy squeeze pages.
I had to start again with a new email address an, new adwords campaign and put a value adding squeeze page together to link to.
check out you tube for more help i think the best video is called magic bullet he talks about a smillys campaign he did check it out

Matts right man. But what is really annoying to me is, why not just work with an advertiser to make it right? Why just suddenly stop traffic without providing a reason to right the problem?

That is one of the biggest flaws in googles business model in my opinion. There is such a thing as lifetime value of a customer you know. Instead of slapping a campaign and forcing an advertiser to revert to a new account, new identity, whatever it is, why not just provide a valid reason for the slap, and a short report on what is wrong. Instead of just the usual, 'your site does not meet our quality....blah blah blah"

My squeeze page was value added. It was a newsletter sign up with all info above the fold. I was getting 40-50% opt-in rate, so obviously people loved it. What are the signs you've been slapped?

There's a few good people there, myself included. Problem is, there's way too many questions being answered by just a few people and the questions are nearly always the same. Seems people don't read the previous questions and answers... There are about half Google employees answering when they can (it's a general public forum, not an official help desk) and the other half guys like me.

First, the limited by budget message is not a show stopper. Hard to say your problem without more details but from your posts, sounds like you have been slapped for breaching policies. You say it's a squeeze page so that perks my ears. You're not going to get an email. All is there in the Adwords guidelines and policies.

Contrary to what Matt said, Google does NOT hate direct linking to sales pages.

What is about Google! I've had some campaigns going for 4 to 6 weeks and they have suddenly decided they dont like them. It didnt stop them taking the money!
