Does google use adsense to devalue your backlinks?

I was wondering about this, since it DOES make sense. Like, if you use hubpages/squidoo to generate backlinks to your domain... Will google not devalue your backlinks when it notices they're coming from the same publisher id?

Considering adsense earnings on hubpages are a pittance, I'm wondering about opening an account where I don't put my adsense publisher ID to increase worth of backlinks.

Or is my thinking all wrong?

    No, adsense has nothing to do with links because there is no html or anchor text on the page. If you right click and view the source you will only see a bit of javascript referencing google. The display the ads dynamically and so there are no links to anywhere from the serving web page
