Post an entire article on my blog or break it into 5 pieces over 5 days?

Hey guys,

I have a nice article for my blog (and for article directories) but I'd like to break it into 5 pieces and update my blog with each of the 5 pieces over 5 days so I can constantly give my readers some new content. However, I'm wondering if Google will ding me for that from an SEO perspective. Anyone have experience with this?

    how long is the article? how long will each of the 5 pieces be? normally i would go with 5 pieces of content over 1 piece of content, so long as the readers will still get the same value.

      Well, my article is only about 500 words. So we're talking 100 words per blog post or so. Is that enough in Google's eyes to qualify as unique content?

        Still looking for a definitive consensus to this. My gut feeling is that if I have a 500-word article, breaking it into 5 100-word blog posts over the course of 5 days should be perfectly fine. I am just a little worried that Google will see each piece of content as "only 100 words" and thus give it less weight than it ought to have.

        It's like the sum of each of the 5 parts doesn't add up to the sum of the whole.
