This is a case of "exact phrase domains"...

    A perfect example actually! You're searching for "botox glasgow" - and the name of the website is h t t p : / / b o t o x g l a s g o w . c o m . Simple as that! People are making A LOT of money on "exact phrase domains" - A LOT!

I'm making a fortune on this as well - with content and backlinks you have a MUCH better chance to rank for a exact domain!

      Maybe I'm missing something.

People are not making a fortune on blank, undeveloped domains
with zip on it. But people believe it and make domain sellers
      rich.

But here's the truth. The site does have content on it, and
appears to be (or was) in the process of being developed.
The domain obviously has a little history.

Sometimes I wonder how people have so much time on their
hands to do useless searches on useless websites.

      These things are meaningless. Pointless.

Well you're taking my words WAY to litterally!

I haven't checked the amount of searches for this phrase, I'm just guiding - and I know what I'm talking about, and I know you do to, because I have been on this forum for years now, and I have read a lot of your posts.

Anyway... You can't make a fortune on domains with nothing on it (surprise??) - I don't even know why you wan't to tell me this - everyone KNOWS that, no content/no ads = no money = FACT.

I think you need to relax a little Poul, and just answer the questions

I wouldn't worry about him. He talks out of his ass a lot.

And if you think domains without content on them can't make crazy money, then how would you explain domain flippers like myself and domain brokers?

Look at the site in question. Says it has been purchased. Go check out Godaddy for exact domain matches, and they're typically in the thousands. Why are they that high? Because they sell.

Yep, that's a PERFECT example of the exact keyword domains

Well exact keyword domains are not unbeatable! Backlinks is key in this situation. Yes I do believe that if you keep building backlinks you will rank higher AND stronger than that domain!

And I do believe that this domain will be downgraded in the near future because of the low amount of content

The domain url is one of the factors why you are still ranking high on search engines, having a keyword on your domain name can easily rank well in search engines.

I had purchased a brand new domain name once and it was in the top 4 on the very first page of google after it propagated over. I was a bit surprised but was like sweet.

I learned that the keywords in the domain name really do make a big difference.

One more thing to notice is the age of the domain - 3 years. It used to have a bunch of content. That and the domain having the exact keywords of the search is the reason for the result.
