Links From Forum Profiles Question

I have bought Angela Backlinks this month. She has domains with high ranks. I have put this links about 10 days ago. Now i used a software called SEO SpyGlass. This software shows the backlinks to my website and it´s page rank. The problem is that all the links i got from Angela are PR0 or Unranked. Can anyone explain this?

If i put a backlink on a forum profile that is Rank 5, will my backlink ever get PR5, or at least higher than 0?

  • Thats the problem with those links, they are advertised as high pr links, but they are not, the homepage of the website is probably high pr.

    But because your profile link is an internal link it will very rarely get any pr, there are still some small value to these links, just hard to say how much.

    • If the home page has pr5, it means profile will also get that backlink. Its just home page page rank, and not all pages. Many do that kind of mistakes and get low page rank.

      Instead, get your site on that home page, and you get backlink of the home page rank.
    • If you read the advertising, I don't believe they say the pages will be high PR, just that the links are on high PR domains.

      I rank my sites using in excess of 70% profile links these days.

      Now, if you wanted to get a real link on a PR5 PAGE, good luck. In the real world, its hard to get links on pages with real PR. Sure, you can find some blog pages to comment on here in there with some page rank, but usually they are already slammed to hell with cialis ads. I guess you can always beg a PR5 link from a site owner, but that's usually a no go.

      So, if you really want PR pages, you really need to either:

      (1) buy your own domains with PR, and then use those as backlinks. I do this, but it is not cheap by any means. You will usually pay at least a couple hundred for a PR5 domain,

      (2) buy links on domains with PR. ONE link on a PR5 page might cost you $40 a month to just "rent".

  • I went through this same conundrum two months ago and got varying answers from the forum. Some said that because the homepage was a PR5 then that would trickle down to my profile then through the link to my website. Other's said this doesn't occur and that the links are essentially pointless.

    I kept building links and my rankings have improved, so I really couldn't tell you if the pagerank is flowing through or not because they all still have PR0 but my rankings grealty improved after my third month.

    • I agree. At first i thought that profile links had very little value, but then i read the comments that some people gave about some backlink packets here in the forum( for example, Terry, Angela and Paul Backlinks), and they all say great things about it.

      So that just messes up, because some say it is almost pointless while other say that is great. So what is the truth?

  • They definitely help, but not near as much as getting a link from an actual PR6 page.

    • It is possible, but it will completely depend on the architecture of the site. If the page your link is on is only a few clicks away from the main PR page than their is a higher chance then if it is 20-30 links deep into the site. PR juice is only going to flow through so many pages as it gets diluted with each page it passes to.
    • The vast majority will stay as PR0/NA on most platforms, but you can still rank well with these PR0 links. PR0 inner pages on PR0 domains are not the same thing as PR0 inner pages on PR7 domains.
    • You could always back link your back links. Over time they will probably gain PR, but it will depend. If you point some links at them, that will help raise their PR. Just as you are tying to raise the PR of your site with links, the same should happen with your back links, if you point some links at them.
  • Any new page you create on a site will be PR0 or PRn/a, and when you create a profile, that is a new page. So what do you expect? Listen to what has come out of Google. They have told us that the page rank will flow, and what ever a page rank is, the juice from that flow will be divided up between the links on that page and flow to the pages linked to. Over time, hopefully the rank of the page your link is on will increase. No guarantees, but age is a determining factor.

    Bottom line, most of the people that have used Angela's and Paul's and Steve's links are happy with the results. Why do you think that is? Doesn't take too much common sense to figure it out.
