SEO for Google,Yahoo,Bing...why different results?

hi...i am newbie in dis SEO world...last month I just want to learn about linkbuilding....submit site to SB,profile forum and many more....

one of my keyword get 1st page in Google,but not even in the 15 page in Yahoo....

another keyword get 1st page on Yahoo,but in Google my site in 20 page.....

how can it be so different??so much different....1st page and 20 page.....

anyone can help me to solve the issue?.....

    They are all different search engines, different companies and they have different algorithms for ranking. I would be surprised to hear that someone has identical results in all 3 search engines. This is normal and you shouldn't worry.

    My recommendation would be to focus your attention on ranking well in Google and let Yahoo and Bing rankings come as a by-product.

      thanks for ur answer...

      Just recheck just now,my site climbing up to page 6 from page 20 in Google but in Yahoo still in the 1st page....huhu.....interesting game.....will try to add another type of backlinking to see the result....

    There are different algorithms used by the search engines-Google,Yahoo and Bing..and as such different results are seen.It depends upon you where do u want to rank best?For some keywords u may be no.1 on Bing while it can be 20 on Google.Google weighs more on quality backlinks,while Bing has a greater weight on Title.

    It sounds as though you have it the right way round...... One of my sites is ranked highly on Yahoo but not on Google (pg 13)

    As far as I can tell from the people in this forum, just keep building content and links and the results will come....

    yes every search engine has its own algorithms by which they rank a website. but most of these algorithms are same. As Google is the leading search engine it is suggested that you should try bringing your website up in Google and you will see that in other search engines your website is also going up...

    Yes, Josip is right, But if you like to get the #1 rank in all search engine you must continue to do backlinking, forum posting and blog commenting. It will be a good way of reaching the number 1 spot.
