just curious, does anyone know why the panic disorder link (i can't post the link yet because im new) comes up as the second page result when you search "bodybuilding misc" in google?

i dont understand, those terms aren't anywhere in the article or the domain name

      If you are referring to the Hubpage hosted site, The keyword is there in the HTML code.
      But you cannot see the keyword in the page. Just verify the HTML code and you can see the keyword.
      Search for "img src=" and you will find it there. I think a BlackHat trick has played there, because the URL is pointing to google's search results page that list their own site.

    Got it off an SEO ebook actually.

    It's the anchor text on other sites. Proving that Google doesn't give a **** about what you actually have on your site in terms of content.

    • ahh alright so he found a trick to get an unrelated page to rank for a certain search result. does anyone know why this trick works though? i dont understand that code or what its linking to. i cant even find the image on the page.


      actually the misc section at bodybuilding.com is one of the most popular individual sections of a forum on the net so a reasonable amount of people probably search that term (which is how i actually saw the weird search result). one of the most popular threads/stickies in the forum is about anxiety and it was obvious someone was trying to capitalize on the anxious bodybuilders (there's also a pretty big affiliate marketing thread on the forum).
