Site Not Yet Indexed but PR2

Hi there. This seems weird. There is a site that is about 4 months old, i discovered that it is not yet indexed by Google but it is already PR2? Is this possible (well, it is because it happened) :-)

I am just wondering why it is not yet indexed? Was it sandboxed - if so, how can it be removed there?

Thanks!

Could be fake PR. I think even if it was indexed, it would not show.
But then, why fake a lousy PR 2?

Could be that is was recently parked, bought, republished.
PR would hold until the next update.

Could be you are searching wrong.

The mythical sandbox is a whole different unicorn than de-index.

So are you really talking about low ranking or not found?

Was the domain previously owned? Or are you the first person to own it? If you are not sure, do a lookup on the internet archive that is the best way to dig up a site's history beyond 6 months.

      Hi thanks for your replies.

This site is my friend's blog that i will start optimizing and promoting. This is a brand new domain (i searched archive and did not find any record).

He said he is just adding original articles on his blog and some social network and nothing else. That is why i was really wondering why his site is not yet indexed and yet already PR 2.

My concern really is why was this not yet indexed? In my experience, it should be indexed by now after 4 months, isn't it? What seems to be the problem?

Blog? Have you checked if your friend has forgot to perhaps select the option "I would like my site to be visible for search engines and visitors" ? Usually people that are new to blogging forget to select that option and leave a noindex meta tag in their blog.

The PR may disappear in the next Page rank update

Has anyone experienced PR falls when purchasing a site and moving the hosting? I have purchased a PR2 site recently and after moving to my host I noticed that the PR dropped to PR0 after only a couple of weeks. Can someone explain why this may happen?

Does your friend know whether his site has ever been indexed and when did it become PR2?

The chances are that it was a previously owned domain that had been de-indexed, or that the site had just been recently de-indexed but yet to lose its PR.

Whatever the reason, there is no point in promoting unless you can get Google to accept it again through a re-inclusion request.
