Backlinkwatch.com question

Hi Guys. Newbie question here

One thing I am noticing with my backlinks is that there are almost none from Google, but most are being picked up in Yahoo? Same thing for SEO Spyglass, where its reporting all my links from Yahoo?

My rankings in Google are climbing though.

Do these sites and application pull all their data from Yahoo only or something?

  • The short answer is that Yahoo has an elegant XML-based API that is easy to programmatically tokenize. I don't know whether the others have so elegant a platform with equally good documentation that is also well-known enough. By the way, Spyglass would give you much more than Yahoo backlinks unless you are using the free version.
