5 Ways of Going Viral Facebook

If you want to maximize distribution of your content, here are five ways to increase your hit count.

1. Make Your Title a Hook.
Talk about the "3 Underdogs to Root for at the WorldCup" or "How to Handle PR Better Than BP."

2. Build Momentum.
Ask your most loyal fans and friends to like & comment early on. Content with comments and likes show up in more often Facebook feeds.

3. Invite Interaction.
The NBA Facebook page does a great job of involving fans. They'll ask "Who is the most clutch ROLE player in Finals history & why? We'll repost our favorite answers." Find creative ways to involve your audience.

4. Focus on Themes.
Write about 'Going Green' or 'Simplicity in Design' or other themes that resonate with specific groups. Since Facebook is communally oriented, you'll do well if you can strike a chord with a community.

5. Post Consistently.
Remember your blog? Consistency is king here too. Make sure to consistently add in good content and to keep on adding fans. Don't forget to write about what your fans want to read, not just what you want to say.

Hope this helps

Titles are so important - whether you're on Facebook or an article directory. Unfortunately, most internet searchers judge a book by its cover. You could have the greatest content ever created, but if you don't have a good title, you are not going to see much traffic.

    All titles need to be:
    1. Catchy - There are thousands (if not millions!) of other choices. Let people know why they should click on yours.

    2. Keyword optimized - Try to get your target keyword as close to the beginning of your title as you can. But no stuffing! It has to be natural.

    3. Accurate - If you make a promise in your title, your content better deliver on it quickly. For example, if you promise me 7 secrets, I better not have to hunt for those 7 secrets. No one wants to feel duped.

How often do you suggest that we "suggest" our business page to our friends.

Have you experimented at all with FB ads to help the process?

Where do you find people within your niche?

Suggest your business page or group to friends, once or twice a week. Check out who is answering you back and make sure they have no issues receiving your news letters.

Yes FB ads does help, but better to do some free marketing stuff before putting in money for the ads.

You can find your niche members by searching for the specific groups which are named as per your niche keyword. Add only those friends who are in your niche group. Then direct them to your page after a week or so.

Good tips. I like Groups on Facebook because you can message everyone in the group at one time. Create a group with the same name as your blog and keep it updated with blog posts. Invite new friends to your group every couple days or so. You can approach other group moderaters with a “JV” (Joint Venture). They promote your group to their members and vice versa.

All the things are only possible if we are having the huge list of the facebook fans. A new facebook starter cannot implement these ways as creating the new fans in Facebook as per your niche is quite a tough task.

Thanks poker princess these are some great tips. The whole essence of facebook marketing is the viral aspect. You get more bang for your buck or work which is what I like about social networks.

Essentially the whole system is already set up ready for you to maximize it for your benefit! If you've seen status of recent like sites you'd be shocked! Couple hundreds of thousands of uniques per day from Facebook. That's the potential!

    @Jaratvit
If you have less than 5000 groups might be better however if you intend to reach a large demographic I personally prefer fan pages. Simply because when you post status post your whole user base should receive the status post should they log on in time without consideration for the size where as in groups your posts are not published on walls not even on recent posts

This means once your group has past the 5000 mark it'd be very difficult to keep in contact with your members. Additionally fan pages have more features such as options to add apps onto the fanpage itself.

The most important thing with Facebook marketing is to have as many friends as you can and for that having an interesting profile is must.
