Something I've noticed with CTR and Adsense Reports

This may not be anything new so I apologize but think I worked out why somedays I'm getting exceptionally low and high CTR days.
I use to think I was an Adsense master with my really high pay days with few impressions but now I'm, not so sure thats the case.
How does click dumping work? Do you get the clicks the day you were suppose to get them or do they show up a couple days later in your stats report? I'm starting to believe the latter is the case.
I think that may explain some really low and hight CTR days? Looking at my reports, I seem to see a pattern where whenever I get a really low CTR for the day, the next day or 2 my CTR is much higher than average which may mean the clicks are showing up 1-2 days later?
I mean how else do you explain me getting $18 from 18 clicks from only 50 impressions the other day? I think my hypotheses is correct...wich would mean....if you get a really low CTR day...don't worry!...expect a surge within the next couple days (if your site is good of course!)
