Since they can do this easily, it seems to me anyone would be pretty foolish to put adsense on (1) sites that they sell links, (2) sites they use for link exchanges or (3) sites of yours that you use as backlinks for your other sites, if your other sites have adsense on them.

I have a private blog network of about 100 sites at the moment and would never dream of putting adsense on them.

    Why even mess with it?

I have adsense on my site and have a long standing link exchange with other RPG sites, but this is not for monetary gain, it is just to exchange players. I think it depends what kind of link exchange it is. I just have one small ad on my main site, to bring in enough to cover the cost of the forum's operation.

Google seems most interested in getting rid of MFA sites. If you own 100 blogs, and put your adsense on all of them, well yeah, it'd be really easy for Google to see whose account is on all of those sites. Hell I could even see it with SEO Quake on.

What about using a different PPC program other then Adsense? Is it still going to be easily detectable by google and other search engines?

I completely agree with Tom. I have a very large network of helper sites and at one point I thought f placing Adsense on them, but that seemed like too much of a gamble.

Not sure if it's a risk, although 99% of the sites/blogs that sell links, blog posts, etc., do not run Adsense on them. Just my experience in being a link broker. Then again, they make all of their money--considerable money, I might add, in many cases--selling links, so the Adsense rev may be trivial by comparison.

    I guess that's a fancy way of saying, I don't know for sure. :-)
