New website - Its SEO and Adsense Income!

Hey guys,

I really need your suggestions and improvement advices. I have a business blog (Registered exactly on 25th January) which was not cared in the first two months. At that time I was busy with another site and other than some basic things there was no works with it.

Without doing anything much (to my surprise) the site became PR 1 on end of march and hence I thought to do some optimization works on it. Started promoting the website and put adsense ads in the site on April. So the site started to grow from the month May - a study and gradual growth.

In the first two months it didn't work well with adsense. But with the last two months the adsense revenue is 120$ (June 70$ and May -50$). Also among the traffic 50+% is coming from Google. Now the site ranks well for its niche keywords too.

Now I've stopped the optimization process, and planning to wait a 2 months to see its growth. What you think about this? Should I put a hold or continue the work? Also I would like to know your suggestions on adsense revenue increasing and the optimization process of new websites.

Thanks for your time.

Try to add more content on your site. Make sure you add quality original content and related to the site niche.
This will help your site grow and generate more revenue.

Content Uniqueness is not possible guys - its like a news distribution services. So people add their releases which would be submitted to other websites as well.

Yes, positioning of the ads are very important. I am getting double earnings when I put a link unit on top below the navigation panel.

So your site has user generated content and is distribution type service.

        Well then take my advice.
        1) Try to built backlinks as many as possible.
        2) Get backlinks to internal pages. (Very Imp)
        3) Do not worry about keyword targeting and dofollow-nofollow. Get a mix of everything. Make it look natural.

Whats important is to get your content indexed fast. Fast before google can crawl the same duplicate content on other website. Its more like first come first serve thing. You can outrank other sites and avoid duplicate content penalty if your content is indexed before other sites.

        And as for revenue
if you are generating revenue from google adsense, then try to use just one ad unit on each page. Place it in prominent location and use universal color scheme for your ads.

I'm doing exactly the same thing man.!! For example as there was a movie release I made a page myself and created more than 30 supporting pages in other websites (with backlinks) - Voila it had bring me more than 500 visits.

And yeah - the google crawling - I'm running on the same concept. As most of the press release distribution centers take time to approve the submission, My guys do it faster than others. Some times users may be surprised to see approval instantly (but proper validation is there, of course)

Suppose a page have more than one ad unit. When a page is loaded, the ad unit which load first (i.e which comes first in the html code of site) is served with highest paying ads.

Having a single ad unit ensures that the visitor clicks the highest paying ad on your website.

But if you have more than one ad unit, there are more chances of clicks.
The best way is to test it out.
Try both approaches, say each for a week, and compare results.
You can decide then which is better for your site.

Yes, that is right. But - if we calculate with the number of chances and the click value - I think there may be only a slight variation on the revenue!

I agree content uniqueness is not possible but if you rewrite it approx 60% than content counts as a unique one, if you do do proper SEO with rewritten content you can maximize your earnings with proper ads positions, if you dont want to rewrite the content articles you can use Their RSS Feeds and optimize your website this will also generate good revenue form your domains.

Never, ever, ever stop promoting your site... Build links... Generate content... build links... generate content... ad infinitim.

Why be happy with $70/month when it could be $700 or $70,000? The more eyes you can get on your site, the more money you will make w/ Adsense.

Well said my friend. Yeah, nothing is impossible. The results directly proportional to the efforts we put in.
