AdSense - One Site, Multiple Pages, How Many Different Ads?

I have a website that has multiple pages and am wondering if I am supposed to create one ad block and use that same code on all the different pages, or am I supposed to create a new ad block with a unique code for each individual page?

Does that make sense?

Thanks,

Seth

You can use the same code on every page (actually up to 3 ads per page). However, if you would like to track the ads to see which page and/or ad placement is performing better you'll have to make a new code for each. The reason is that you then can make channels. When you are creating an ad, before you click get code at the bottom, click "add new channel" a box will pop up and you can name that ad, example: "topleftpage1" for the ad on the top left of page one. Now if someone clicks that ad it will tell you in your adsense report under top channels "topleftpage1---1 click".

By the way if you use internet explore, when you push "add new channel" a yellowish bar will put up at the top of the screen saying that internet explorer has blocked it, push the yellow bar and click allow, then you have to go back down and click "add new channel" again and it should work then.
