Does anyone know when the next Pagerank update will be?

  • Not sure. There are no webmaster who can really know the certain time of Google PR update.
    But according to the Google PR Update History, I guess the time may be July 4th.

      You can't predict. It depends on google. this may be take a 2 or 3 months to update PR.
  • would anyone mind telling me how to increase a site's PR or show me where i can get solid info on increasing PR?

    i looked on google but there doesnt seem to be straight answer, mostly pieces and bits of info.
  • Don't worry so much about PageRank. PageRank matters, but it's not the only thing that matters. Don't get too caught up focusing on it; it's not a good use of your time.

    • Exactly! Google is constantly assessing PageRank but they only typically update the toolbar once per quarter. Focus on traffic and good SEO practices and you'll be fine.
    • You are assuming that the poster cares about PR for SERP ranking purposes.

      What if he/she wants to sell links on the site? It matters quite a bit then. Or what about if they plan on using those sites as backlink sources for their money sites? PR matters a lot then too.

  • No one other than Google knows when the next full publicly-released (PR updates constantly...but the publicly released PR is only released a few times each year) update will be.

    But, if the last two were on April 2nd/3rd and January 2nd/3rd, so one might guess that the next one will be soon.

    That being said, there was actually a "negative" PR update that occurred this past week where some sites drastically lost PR. Say, a PR4 went to a PR0. But, it didn't seem like there was any PR upgrading being done then.

    • I suspect they've placed the toolbar pagerank update on a sliding schedule where they constantly have some sort of update going on rather than one big push to update every site in their index.
  • My Pr is still the same.
