Google AdSense's terms and conditions specify how many ads and link units you can place on each page. Exceed those limits and you have a problem. Otherwise, and provided you comply with all the other conditions, you should be OK.

Now Googe has limit the number of ads showing on each page automatically.
That's what I've heard. Anyone confirm?

Yes I think that is right. If you already have 3 ad blocks on a page and add another one, I think it will just show a blank space and won't show the 4th ad block.

Don't worry about getting 'punished' unless you are breaking the rules. And if you don't know the rules, perhaps you should read them. Too many people here lose their Adsense accounts because they failed to read the rules. The rules are short, to the point, and easy to understand.

Don't worry, google won't pull out the dunce cap unless you break the rules. So read the rules and you won't have to worry about getting the yard stick.

That's good! Google does have an all-encompassing rule stating that if you are
trying to circumvent the rules, you are breaking the rules. Many forget that as
well. They also say just because something specific is not mentioned, don't
break the spirit of the rules.

As far as putting more ad blocks, lot's of people unknowingly add more than 3.
All that happens is that the ones after 3 won't show. I've never heard of anyone
getting banned because of this. Now I don't know if you add a hundred.

And a little know thing about blogs. Adsense for RSS feeds has a different TOS,
(as does every product). In fact, you can add an adsense block after every
post. Quite amazing when you first see it. Quite legal. Choose adsense for
feeds, check after every post, then view it. If you have 20 posts, you'll see
20 blocks. When setting this up, your blogspot blogs will automatically show.
Just add them. One more reason to have a blogspot blog. They even adjust
      the colors and size automatically.
