For ranking youtube vids in google, same kinda seo stuff applies that normal websites do.

No, I'm saying that an old user is 1 (only 1) of the ranking factors. I don't know how big of a factor it is. I'm guessing subscribers, comments and rankings play a bigger part.

Yes, all of those factors mentioned are a part of the formula. Like it was said, think of it as a normal site.

You might also work on embedding and backlinking to the YouTube profile like you would any other site. Additionally, if what you're dealing with is a broad enough subject, consider starting niche accounts that link back (in the profile) to the main one:

Chicken farming videos > Farming videos < cattle farming videos

Links in YouTube profiles actually pass some pretty decent authority, so you may as well try to capitalize on it if you can.
