A few newbie questions

Hello everyone,

I have a few questions I was hoping someone could help me with. If you know where the answers are already posted please direct me to the information if you can.

I was wondering about Adsense tracking, I know how to create a new code to put adsense on a site but once you have more than 1 site Im unclear as to where or how you track each site. I only have 1 Blogger Blog currently and there is a monetise button that shows me my adsense earnings.

I have been reading some debates on Google analytics on the board lately. I don't think I have any reason not to use it but what other alternatives are there for tracking besides googles tools.

I know how to find different affiliate programs but would like to know what other adsense types of programs are available, and if you can the difference in payouts. I see a few mentioned from time to time but I would think there is some kind of list. Also I think Banner ads would basicaly be the same thing, you get paid if someone clicks on it.

I have an Amazon affiliate account, it generated me the code for my account. How to you apply the code to different sites so you can track it?

Sorry I know these are pretty lame questions but untill you actually do it for yourself it is a bit confusing.

Thanks in advance/

You can set up channels, when you do only ads from those channels will be taken into consideration and you can see the CTR and earnings from each channel. I believe they have URL channels too.

IDK sorry, but amazon hardly makes enough money for me to care about that anyways.

You can create up to 200 URL channels tracking a specific web page, a folder or an entire site. It is under AdSense setup, Channels.

As for alternatives to Analytics (still the best in my opinion), your web host might offer something. A commonly offered tool is Webalyzer.
