ok guys i have a site that was indexed around page 10, but right after i started building backlinks and getting them indexed, instead of raising slowly or keeping its place its slowly moving backwards a few spots a day lol so is this normal ? xD

i did keyword research checked the first page competition saw a few web 2.0s site and their backlinks, it would be relatively easy to get the 1# spot.

Have you also changed the design of your site?
There have been some reports of old sites losing rankings temporarily after design changes.

nothing like that, it a brand new site, it was indexed but i never touched it ever since or build any backlinks to it, then after i did trow some links at it and they got indexed my site started going backwards slowly lol, all i did was a press release and a few web 2.0 with articles on them with anchored keyword of course,

it wasn't a sudden drop just a consistent slow drop like around 5 spots a day :/

maybe this is do to QDF maybe its not.. i just never seen nothing like this lol i usually see a sudden drop not a slow one....

That call google dance. If your site new, it will get high rank at begin, then it slowly go down. Don't worry, if your site good enough, it will go up again soon.

      Hi Greed,

That sounds like classic QDF and happens to many new pages. How high you start out, and how far and fast you drop, is determined in part by the scale and scope of your competition.

Competition. That explains it all. Finding your niche is the most important thing before getting into a battle. You can use google updates to find new links posted in your keywords

oh trust me there's no competition for this keyword lol im pretty good at evaluating the competition, the whole first page is crap with each page less then 100 backlinks and most of these arent even anchored text, thought it was going to be taking candy from a baby but then google had to be g@y and this happen :p
