Hi warriors

Just created my adwords account along with my first campaign ....
so have a barrage of questions

First of I would like your insight into networks and devices:

Do you let your ads appear on the Display Network(Content Network)?
If so do you create separate campaigns for the Google Search and Display Network?

Has anybody had success advertising on mobile devices?
If so what mobile devices did you advertise on?

Next is keywords:

Having a small budget should I go for an Exact or Broad match?

My keyword list consists of words and phrases which include iPhone or some variation/misspelling of the word. Now say for example I wanted to increase my traffic by adding more keywords, what techniques do you guys use for getting keywords which don't include the "word" but also still brings quality traffic.

Last but not least, please be critical of my text ad

Cant post images or links yet, so stuck it as an attachment.

Thank you

P.S. I would be very grateful if someone could pm me with a adwords coupon for a new account

    Hi gamboo,

Since your strategy should be different for the different networks create separate campaigns.

Certain types of offers tend to work better for mobile devices. like restaurants and business that cater towards travelers. If you are not sure create a separate campaign and test.

Avoid the use of broad match keywords and focus primarily on exact match keywords. Write separate ads for each keyword and include them in their own individual ad group.

All I can say about your ad text is that you lack an emotional benefit -save greed - and your call to action is weak!

If I want to use the display network, I keep it separate from the search network. Every good PPC manager will tell you the same.

I've never use mobile devices yet, at least not exclusively. Most of my clients just don't sell the kind of things where this would make sense. I did however suggest to a locksmith recently that he should use it and have a mobile device only campaign. This strategy might be good for that type of service.

You should always have exact and phrase matched keywords. Keep broad matches to a minimum and never use short tail broad keywords.

Keywords should always have the "word". You don't sell dog food by bidding on "cat food" or anything else.

You have lots to learn. From what you say, you want to bid on iphone. This is too broad. It also appears from your ad that it is some sort of reward site for trying/testing products. Therefore, "iphone" is irrelevant to what the ad says and what I imagine your site is. You'll get low CTR and therefore low QS which will drive your costs up. If you are just collecting emails, you'll get low QS.

I personally don't think your ad is attractive as well, even with proper keywords. I could be wrong but you need to test it. Don't create just one ad.

At a rough guess you will be back here shortly asking why your ads are not running, most 1 page cpa offers with slim shady sign ups last about until sunset on a high moon.

you page re diverted me to > be naughty.com so i am also guessing that campaign is locked down to the USA, not that it will matter much anyway, but i may be wrong.

Thank you for your input guys, after having a read through there is now plenty for me to change and do!

    @tryinhere
Sorry, the offer is indeed US only, I also get redirected from the UK but to a similar sort of offer, nothing like what I imagine benaughty to be.
