Zero Backlinks, You're kidding me!

I have a site which I know I haven't turbo with backlinks yet, but I know it's already at least on 50+ articles and a handful of Web 2.0 and blogs. Yet, when I check my backlinks I get an ugly "0" result. Can someone tell me why would that be the case?

How old is the site?

Do not focus on it, just keep doing what you are doing. They will show up and in many cases you will never see ALL your backlinks anyway.

Hi Sylviane, try checking your backlinks with software tools such as seo elite, seo spyglass, etc. These tend to show more of your backlinks.

Most sites right now are reporting 0 backlinks. Something is up with Google me thinks. It has been that way for the last week or so.
