How to get backlinks from google?

Google counts a lot of the backlinks but it really particular about the backlinks it lists. So don't worry about it too much.

Getting backlinks is one of the most important things you need to do to get your new site noticed.That allows you to apply for corporate welfare on the backs of your employees and other unassociated corporate employees.

This is true. You may have backlinks with Google, just not showing up. Keep focusing on link building and soon enough rankings should reflect how well you are link building....as long as your on-page SEO is on point.

  Franks got it right. Just be patient. It takes time for websites to show your backlinks..seomoz..seoquake..whatever your using it doesnt show all the sites you submitted your url too. Ya its annoying, but just have to be patient.

Google only count the do follow back links. That's it will take some time to count back links. But you need to get string do follow back links.

Try to get a do-follow link from other websites. Google will notice the do-follow links. You can get these links from blogs. Try to comment on blogs which will lead to boost your site ranking.

Google looks for do follow links, so try to get quality links. Important is how many back links of your site Google check.

Be active and join discussions on blogs and forums that are related to your marketplace and try keeping your website's blog up to date!

Try to increase backlinks that are do-follow as well as have good quality. Also, the PR of the sites in which you are inserting your site's link should be good.

So wrong it hurts............Google counts all links, they simply show you a very very small %. Infact until you've built a few hundred they probably won't show you any. It has absolutely nothing to do with do follow which only applies to passing PageRank , which ain't gonna help you in your Serps anyway.

A link is a link is a link. Some count more than others, but there is no such thing as a bad backlink.

If you're looking to suck PageRank, then yes dofollow is the way to go..........of course I know a couple of PR5 and 6 sites that don't even make it to the top 100 results for their keywords, so I don't know how important dofollow could be.

If you're looking to build backlinks for seo purposes then you want hyperlinked keyword text links, preferrably in content.

So you dont' start out in the quest to get backlinks. You make the site so good that backlinks are a natural consequence.

If this is directed at me the answer is no. I start building backlinks to placeholder pages I put up before the site goes live.

Backlinking is "off Site seo".

Now on site seo............thats more of an art than a science. Correct url structure, bolding/underlining/italicizng of keywords, hyperlinking of keyords to differnt pages, posts within you site, even hyperlinking directly back to the root domain..............this is all "on site seo" that is just as important as backlinking.

Also if you're using wordpress, the correct plugins are important.......

just do a search for "on page seo" there's plenty of stuff around that you can read for free.

Long thread, but there's a difference between your Google backlink count if you check in search box or if you have Google Webmaster. You will see far more backlinks from within Google Webmaster.

The backlink must contain the keyword link text you want to rank for. Backlinks considered as ranking points by Google. The more link text backlinks that you have, the more points your site for that keyword.

It always depends on google bot to index, but with some SEO trick you will get backlinks from google on few days as i did.
