Time to work on the back links

Hello

After a long time spent getting good backlinks for my site (and not so good ones) I want to promote a new page on my site, my on site seo is good, and now I want to get some backlinks.

I have seen mention of software that is used in the creation of backlinks, can anyone suggest a worthwhile tool?

  • there are some people in the classifieds and warrior for hire sections that will create linkwheels and a few other bl services for you at a reasonable rate. It might be your safest and easiest method to start.
  • I think link building software are often just spam machines. The advice above about hiring a service is sound. I've used a service that covered various aspects of building. The package included link wheels, commenting and article submission. Saw good results!

    • I used to believe this too, until I realised that a lot of the people I was trialing for outsourced linkbuilding were themselves just using automated tools and/or user accounts with hundreds of other peoples links alongside my own.

      Naturally it all depends on the markets your targeting, the level of competition, and how gung-ho you want to be. There are high-end software solutions that can build literally thousands of backlinks overnight, but they're the IM equivalent of WMDs. I'll intentionally refrain from naming them here as most are considered black hat, and if your considering going down that road it's best if you do more reading and find your way there by yourself. However, from what you've said these options are probably unnecessarily powerful for your requirements.

      However, there are software apps available which are generally considered to give you less chance of blowing your own head off (metaphorically speaking). In my opinion the best of these are for social bookmarks (Bookmarkwiz, Bookmarking Demon), article submission (Articlebot) and forum profile creation (Sick Profile Maker).

      To be honest I'd suggest looking for some high PR dofollow blogs that use a combination of the Keywordluv and "latest commentators" plugin - these will usually give you temporary sitewide links in the blogs sidebar. While these links are transitory I've seen them still showing up in Yahoo months later. Although transitory these are free, and providing you manually leave genuine comments nobody could accuse you of spamming!

    First and foremost, however, remember to keep your website updated frequently and to have high quality content on your website.

  • It is all so subjective. There are a few software packages which will highlight opportunities for you, high PR opportunities and low competitive niches. Unfortunately, many people never learn how to use the programs before they form an opinion and many others buy opinions, so it's hard to go off of other reviews and forum discussions.. at least it is hard to know what to believe.

    My suggestion is to start with a program that will display back links and sort by PR. This way you can find out how legit business sites are pulling in top rankings.

    Especially if this is only for one page on your site.

    .gov .org .edu are all good! find websites relating to yours and then make a decent comment on it and link it back to your site!
