Can buying a site from someone banned from Adsense hurt me?

Someone I know was banned from Adsense and has offered me their sites for cheap.

Does anyone know if, and under what circumstances this could harm my Adsense account? I'm pretty sure they were sending some dodgy cheap traffic to the site, which obviously I would not be doing... anyway, anyone have any experience here?

    It would not hurt you. I know of others who have bought domains from people where their adsense account got banned and kept going just fine. The problem is the fraudulent stuff the person was doing and not the site in general. Since the person got banned for clicking his own ads, encouraging clicks or having people click them over and over and that's likely to stop once the site is sold and he has no reason to keep telling people to click ads anymore on it. So yeah, go for it.
