"How to Get on Page One of Google Within 48 Hours Using These 3 Simple tricks!"

Hi All,

I used these methods on a wordpress blog I have, here are the details:

My blog has a long tail keyword, keyword is in the domain name, .net extension, low competition (below 10,000 allintitle)

I created the blog purely for adsense monetisation, it had been live for weeks, but didn't rank, despite creating backlinks etc

Then I added these two components -

#1 - A video: Just get something related to your niche/keyword from youtube, try to get a video without URL links in it, you don't want people to go to their site, otherwise create your own video

#2 - RSS Feed: I placed an RSS feed to my blog, from Google news, containing my site keywords

Then within 48 hours I was on page one of Google for my keyword, third position down, with the odd appearance on page two, it has stayed on page one of Google ever since

#3 - The third method is to create a press release and release it to a few free press release sites, this trick can sometimes get you ranked within hours!

It's worth a go, only takes a few minutes, and it's all FREE!

Coolmoss!

There's ranking and then there's Ranking.

I can beat the 48 hours...
This thread will rank #1 for any unique sentence you search for in 15 minutes or less.
        And that gets you what?

You can get anything ranked. Even in seconds....

But who cares unless real people in the real world are searching for it?

And this thread came up #1 in google! Now I want this thread to rank for

"internet marketing is fun but id much rather be eating hot dogs and watching the office"

Lets wait 15 minutes and see....

Does this mean you added a Google RSS feed which brings Google news to your blog OR did you submit your blog's RSS feed to Google news for inclusion?

      Congrats on page 1

    Hi cbreceipt,

Yes I tried it on other sites, it varies, if the competition is low and you have a keyword rich domain with a .com, .net or .org extention, the site should rank, my other site didnt have those parameters, hope that helps

      Thanks for the explanation...

But, if you add a RSS widget it will contain news/articles with links to other sites.

How will that help you in rankings ?

    Hi Beautyuno1,

    No problem,
    Goto Google News
Type in your keyword in the “search news box” at the top of the screen
So for example, if you’re in the weight loss niche, it could be -
    weight loss for over 40’s
After you have pressed the “search News” button, you will get a bunch of results below
Copy the URL of that resulting page, in this case it was –
weight loss for over 40's - Google News
Now copy this link into your web site, if you have a blog use a widget to add text
You should now have the RSS feed on your site, which will automatically update
You can also create RSS feeds for multiple keywords like –
weight loss for over 40's + diet tips + weight loss tips
If you are still confused, let me know

    Hi Onuel,

In Wordpress login as admin > goto Appearance > Widgets

Add an RSS widget and just enter your Google news URL in the “Enter the RSS feed URL here:” box

You decide which of the other options you would like displayed, i have “Display item content?” & “Display item date? ” ticked, the display date shows me i am getting the latest feeds displayed on my site each day

    Hi Grantdenz22,

I've used Free Press Release - Online Press Release Distribution Service in the past, and it's free, there are paid press release services like http://www.i-newswire.com, but you can't go wrong submitting to a few free services, just Google to find the free services

    Hi HCLee,

It's a mtter of trying it and see what sticks, some things will work, some might not.

There is no harm in adding a video, an RSS feed and sending a free press release out, because it's all free, doesnt take too much time, and the results could be amazing!

Or you could just add one of the above, i would start with adding a video

    Hi Sledgehammer,

When you add the RSS news feed, it acts as constantly updating content on your site, and as we all know, Google loves fresh content, plus the news is as it happens, "hot off the press"

Yes the feeds do create links to other sites, but what I do is put the RSS feeds right at the bottom of my web page, where visitors are not likely to see it or click on the links, or get distracted by it

Yes, RSS feeds are good addition, but what I'm always concerned about with them is duplicate content issue... what is your opinion on that?

Ok, this is something I got from a successful marketer recently, he keeps up to date with what Google likes and doesn't like, I have met him, and I trust his information

    Google doesn't mind duplicate content!

A Google News RSS feed is fine by Google, because it comes from Google, why would they provide a resource, if they don't want people to use it?

Google now likes to see a mixture of content, so video, Google News feeds and other people's content, ie duplicate content for example taken from Ezine Articles is all fine for your blog

I say, try it and test it, if you're not sure, create a test blog for all your experiments, if it works, keep it for your main sites, if it doesn't work then throw it out.

Yup, agree with that... it doesn't make much sense to having such a tool if you can't use it... and I wasn't thinking about Google RSS only, rather all other available RSS feeds... but it also comes between to fires, on one side you have a tool that's useful to use and it makes sense to use it, and on the other that old question about duplicate content...

But as you say, the best way is to try it
      Thanks for the answers!

Did you just link off of a YouTube video or embed a video through flash? I wonder if the overall "diversity" of content was what created the jump? Also it's important to note that technically your site did age for a few weeks so it could of been a coincidence...

I suggest you create your own video and put some tags Taken from the top video's from your niche. Its easy to create one. Use Windows Video Maker, Get some pictures. Time each picture to show up like in Powerpoint then put some music in the background. Or just video yourself talking about your site or contents etc. Putting Video on your site really helps. My first website(8 months ago) jumped from Rank 64 to rank 18 in 1 week and I only added 1 video. I've been doing it ever since. Now im just searching ways to outrank my competitors and It is hard loL!

p.s. I think google loves youtube video's. (because google own youtube!(maybe lol!))

Strange as it is easy to do on WP you would think blogger and google feed would work seemlessly, not for me though.

An update on the first blog i put it on that went up to page 4 then went on to No1 on page 1 of google, lasted a day and has now disappeared all together from google must be doing the google dance, interesting to see where it comes back to after the dance.

First i'd like to say thanks for sharing but i would like to point out that in order not to confuse newbies you need to point out that this will only work for a low to zero competition website .

You cannot rank for a competitive keyword with this method.

To rank for a competitve keyword you need two things

      1) proper on page seo this is important but not the determinig factor

      2) Backlinks ,backlinks, backlinks This is the most important factor in ranking that is why sites like adobe rank for the term click here eventhough their website is not optimized for the their click here .

Hope that clears up a few things .

      Just my 2 cents.

Thanks -- I added the Google News Feed to two blogs I own. I know I have several Squidoo lenses and the ones that I've used their widget to add an RSS news feed have generally done well. I've always thought the frequently updated content had a lot to do with it.

And I already had plans to run a Press Release for my latest site. Still have to add a video... that's on the list, a little further out.

    Thanks Coolmos,

I've used videos on my sites as well, but, didn't really get into the RSS thing.

But recently, I have been looking in to Google News a lot.

  • Did this worked for anyone? For websites this will don't work at all, I'm curious how it works for blogs.

I could see regularly updated rss feeds making a site look fresher and updated more often. This probably gets the search engines to give a boost on rankings.

Love the tip! My website was looking a bit empty on the sidebar anyway.

Added onto my website and will definitely report how this turns out for my rankings.

    Thanks guys!

Testing should be an integral part of your online business, whether it's adding a video or making changes to your title, to see what works and what doesnt and what converts better.

If your Blog is in the wordpress site, the title and the description must be more reliable and informative to others in order to gain backlinks in your site, the text in your article must be relevant to the keywords that you may use, the keyword must be strong and competitive.

The Google press does not work when using a Widget. All i see within the widget is the URL for the Google news site. This is the error I get every time. RSS Error: A feed could not be found at http://www.google.com/reader/view/?h...ux&output=atom
